Well I have to say that the OCZ Vertex 128gb has been unbelievably impressive. Depending upon which benchmark you read either the Vertex, Intel or Samsung seem to be quickest.

The OCZ has been completely flawless. Weighty applications like SQL Server or Oracle load in seconds and the write speeds are finally very impressive for and SSD.

It as if the hard drive has finally caught up with the processor and memory.

Glad you are having a good experience with the Vertex.

Honestly, the last thing I'm concerned about are the benchmarks. I know that an SSD will greatly increase productivity and that's all I really care about.

I'm still leaning towards that Corsair, will probably make a final decision this weekend. :)

    Hey Guys,

So I installed windows 7 32 bit and 64bit on two separate partitions. I've got the RGBLED screen and Quadro FX770.

    I installed the 185.85 drivers

The problem I have is that minimizing and maximizing windows is not very smooth. I find that only if i open the nvidia control panel and use the tab "adjust with 3d preview" does the windows become smoother.

It's almost like the graphics card is not going into 3d mode. Opening the control panel and going to 3d preview forces the card into 3d mode and the card stays in that mode for a minute or two.

A definite way to determining this is when a full screen firefox window is minimized, you can see the bottom of the window become jagged. After opening the 3d control panel and minimized again, the bottom of the window becomes anti-aliased and is smooth

Anyone else have this problem/know a solution to it?

The latest (A14). If that makes the chassis of your machine become too hot for you, try A13. If it's still too hot for you, try A12. But they will make the fan go louder.

Some still prefer very old versions (A03 I think, but I'm not sure), but I wouldn't do so unless I had serious problems with the latest versions.

Hi i have one with 15.4” UltraSharp™ WXGA+ (1440x900) LED Display and it is awsome, but the comp is not good for fast games with 770M, when you drive for example need for speed undercover with all the details turned off time to time the street disappears, it gets very hot and loud, also 2d grafic is very bad it can not manage a few vectors together (nothing for engineers and architects), and the speakers, the sound card are terrible worst sound I have ever heared. this comp is good for office applications and may be photo or 3d presentations, it can manage very complicated textures really good, but u would need an external sound card if u make your presentation with sound, performance test overall benchmark is 1008, so it is on the lower section of the middleclass, for that it is too expensive... one more thing they deliver it with dvd reader, not writter, be carefull.
