I have not. I would have if it had screws or was easily taken apart.

I haven't seen this exact problem, but once I did run into an RGBLED backlight problem which was similar. The colour went wonky, and the backlight shut off completely a moment later. It was on battery at the time. The display was still active, just very difficult to read with no backlighting. The brightness adjustment didn't do anything, but shutting down and restarting restored the display to normal functionality, and I haven't seen the problem since.

You don't have the M15X anymore?...or you like having more than one 15.4" notebook?

Great deal btw,as is usual from the US outlet.

I still have it, in fact I have 2 and one I am trying to get rid of on ebay but for some reason its just not selling. I might be selling the one in my sig eventually as I really never game anymore and the games I do play (CS, WOW, UT 2004) the M4400 can easily handle.

When i got a M4400 back in november I got a similar problem with my RGBLED screen - it turned all pink/purple.. This was within a week of purchase so i returned the notebook and got my money back. (I got many other problems with it, with WWAN and blue screens - never Dell anymore hehe.)

    Yay! It's here!
First impressions are much the same as those of everyone else...the good things are awesome in person and the annoyances are much as described.
Screen is absolutely beautiful, and this is one of the most solid pieces of computer technology I've held in a while. Essentially zero keyboard flex.

So guys, I was wondering if the 9 cell battery is worth getting and does having part of it sticking out a problem or annoying??

Personally I found the 9 cell sticking out annoying enough to buy a 6 cell.

I very seldom use battery runtime, and couldn't even tell you the difference between them.

Does your M15X power adaptor work in the M4400? it's right angled on the M15X ?
