Yes. Standby, hibernate, or off competely.

You can adjust the setting in the BIOS, it's highly customizable. I have mine set to stop powering that port if the notebook battery goes below 75% charge. I will likely just use that feature when the notebook is plugged in.

Is this possible to get external resolution 2560x1600 (30" screen) from M2400 (with NVidia FX 370M)? Which replicator is needed for this (or none)?

    thanks for the link.

I'm not sure this laptop is a good choice for me, may be you can help me :
i'm a french architecture student, i use revit architecture a lot and a bit 3ds max for my projects. I own already a 22" main screen, and i'm looking for a laptop.

i don't want a big one, 14" ist perfect, but i just want to be sure that this graphic card is enough strong for me. I've read that M4400 may a better choice if 3d performance are needed. What do you think about this.

Did someone use 3dsmax or revit with this laptop? i just need something ok, i don't need the best laptop of the world.

    my plan was : core 2 duo 2,4ghz - 2x2048 mo - 200go 7200rpm - 1440x900
