My dock / monitor issue still exists. I performed some further investigation. It is not a sleep / wakeup problem. Monitor keeps black (with running '_') whenever the resolution is modified.I played with some user defined resolution settings and modifed the horizontal frequency between 58 to 62 [Hz]. Without success. Only a monitor power cycle helps. I would assume that one component within the displayport signal path is out of spec or not fully compatible.

maybe try uninstall the driver and reinstall? maybe a faulty unit? I am sure if other people has this issue they would already point it out.

Thats funny - just uninstalled the Dell Touchpad driver and the Touchpad is still working and now without the sluggish behavior on battery.

Unfortunately Windows Update is just reinstalling it - but this time the touchpad keeps workings normally on battery.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

ControlVault Device is available as a hardware in manager, "Biometric devices" not, there is no usb device with an error. And still in Windows Hello option there is marked "windows hello is not available on this device". Futhermore, in device manager driver number is 4.9.16.22 even after instalation of new driver from dell 4.9.17.53. I think I will contact Dell directly.

If it's not too much trouble, could someone screenshot their XTU default settings for a 7530 i9? I'd like to compare the default settings with mine... not with any undervolting, etc. Thanks, still having major throttling under little to no stress. :)

I selected the ControlVault device in device manager and then flipped to View -> Devices by connection. This is what the tree should look like. If the biometric device is missing (the one with the little fingerprint icon) then fingerprint scanning will not work. Unfortunately, I don't know what would cause that or how to fix it...

When I experienced a USB device with an error as I mentioned, it was actually the "USB composite device" one level up from the ControlVault device, that prevented the entire ControlVault system from working.

You can get these lag (exprienced on Macbook Pro) if the battery of the devices (especially the mouse) is low or if the line of sight between the mouse and the dongle is blocked by something or not too direct.

Received my 7530 Yesterday. Sending it back today - total disappointment. Quality control is terrible. The Ultrasharp screen has so much bleeding it's noticeable on any background. CPU (8750H) is hitting 90C + even during normal office operation. Back plate design is terrible - it's begging for cracks if you plan to open it to upgrade RAM and drives. Keyboard gives in quite a bit on the right side, even produces some rattling noise. In short, - one of the worst business machines I've ever seen. Not gonna bother replacing it, just return and look elsewhere. Hope you guys have better luck with your machines.
