You probably mean RF instead of USB?

RF and BT both operate on 2.4 GHz, same as wifi.

 

Had my 7530 touchscreen replaced yesterday, as there was a speck of dust behind the display. It was also kid of low in sRGB volume at 95% (86% coverage) so I was hopeful the replacement would be better. The replacement turned out to be better at 100% volume and 89% coverage, but has 2 specks of dust now and a very pronounced screen door effect. I guess I'll have to start the process again, but at least it's onsite service.

I hate that I'm picky when it comes to screens, but I do a ton of design work. It really matters to me unfortunately; panels can be quite the lottery. I had similar issues with the 7510 (minus the dust) but eventually got a good one, so fingers crossed!

 

I think the rattle noise on the keyboard is due to the thin medal cover for the ram underneath the keyboard. it will be gone if you add more ram there, or but something there . my 7730's screen is perfect with no bleeding. Yeah even I am amazed by no bleeding because my m4800 bleeding a lot

 

I decided to replace my screen too. I don't have dust but the back-light bleeding is pretty bad.

 

Rattling is most likely due to the middle trackpad button. It's an easy fix - just stick some foam underneath where the middle button meets the chassis, but it's a pain as you have to remove the palm rest to gain access. Still, I'd probably feel the same if I encountered those issues. My keyboard fortunately has been stable, and both my screen samples have not shown much bleeding... rather, they've had other issues...

 

Can you please tell what are the other issues? My laptop is still under 30 days return policy. I probably have only one issue with the screen. The back panel doesn't feel good. It was very hard to remove it first time but on third time it came off too easy.

 

Man, these issues are making me think twice about getting the Precision. I can't even use it in person to try it out, unlike others here.

 

Not everyone is having these issues. I think most people are actually quite happy with their purchase. I'm fairly picky when it comes to laptops, after getting spoiled by OLED screens and old school Thinkpad/Elitebook keyboards. I also can't stand it when vendors come up with products which are pain to open and upgrade. Hope this helps

 

I wouldn't worry, it is just that those that have problems are more visible as they come here for help. Many won't have any issues at all.

I have been using my M6600 for around 7 years now and am very, very happy with it which is why I have just ordered the 7730. I have every confidence with Dell and the Precision line of laptops.

 

I'm equally as picky.

I've been reading and re-reading reviews of other notebooks recommended by @yrekabakery (namely the Asus GM501GS, the Aorus X5 v8 and the Aero 15X), and I'm still in a huge dilemma. I need a notebook in two weeks flat, but nVidia is apparently releasing their mobile 11-series GPUs within the next half of the year. Pascal is already more than two years old at this point.

Understandably the DGFF in the 7530 might allow an upgrade (to a V3000? T3000? A3000?), but it's not as guaranteed (or even possible) like Clevo notebooks. I would also like a high-and-variable-refresh-rate capable, wide-gamut, deep-colour screen, but obviously I can't get all that in a laptop.
