    Hi,
I just purchaced a dell 7510 from uk outlet store. I didnt' notice that the item I bought does not have MIC. Order confirmation says
"Bezel For Full HD Non-Touch with Camera No MIC"
Does anyone knows if I can later change some part and add MIC functionallity?

The webcam should have a built-in mic.

Hopefully someone who knows can reply with specifics on a 7510 Bezel part # (the one with Mic holes) and Cam assembly with Mic included part# . I think you basically need two things... a new bezel; and a new camera w/Mic assembly.

*Below are excerpts from 7710 Owners Manual showing camera and mic, as the 7510 manual does not cover camera and microphone installation for some reason. I'm not certain that 7510 microphone location is same as in these 7710 images so I hope someone who has a 7510 who has maybe done this swap will speak up. I think I read about someone asking similar question much earlier in the thread.

I don't know if this helps, but here are the part numbers I have for the various orders Dell has created for my many replacements/dispatches:
    • 319-BBDR Bezel For Full HD Non Touch ( No MIC/Camera )
    • 319-BBDS Bezel For Full HD Non Touch with Camera +MIC
While I'm at it, here are some other related part numbers:
    • 320-BBQV Back Cover For Full HD Non Touch
    • 391-BCFF 15.6" UltraSharp FHD IPS (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee (72% color gamut)
    • 391-BCFG 15.6" FHD(1920x1080) Anti-Glare LED-backlit (45% color gamut)
If anyone else gets a system replacement, please be careful in what Dell actually sends you, I ordered the UltraSharp panel shown above, but so far Dell has attempted to replace my system twice with the non UltraSharp panel (physically sent me the wrong system twice).

To update my situation, my case is now in the hands of their upper level, Client Resolution Expert Center, and I'm waiting on them to let me know if they will be sending me a third replacement system or a 4th part dispatch (3 wrong motherboards so far) to replace the display on one of the wrong machines they've already sent.

Thank you all. I guess based on ygohome's info from 7710 Owners Manual propably I can later add mic.
Currently I will buy a mini usb mic and maybe later, if more info is available, I will try a part replacement.

    Hello.
I replaced the RAM in my 7510 and found that the memory shield for the secondary memory is missing.
    Is this reason to worry?

I wouldn't think it is anything to worry about. I would call Dell though just to get the shield

*oh wait, I don't think there is meant to be a shield over both RAM locations. A shield only exists under the keyboard side, but not the other. So if that is what you are seeing I think you are okay.

See RAM photo locations in a 7710 in bokeh's thread. There the shield is only covering the keyboard side to protect against keyboard flex.... http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/dell-precision-7710-owners-review.792630/

To people owning a Quadro M3000M: does yours run hot ?
Under load mine stays in average over 70°C, 82°C peak.
    That's quite hot imho.

I didn't think the M3000M was a possibility in the 7510? You may get better answers in the 7710 thread.
