anyone using DigitalPersona soft and the fingerprint sensor? I think mine is faulty. I can not use it to log to windows. I'm using win10. I registered my fingers but I cannot get it to open a windows session. it worked like 2 times ou of 20 ! How does it work? I tried putting my finger on the sensor, swiping... . The sensor on my iphone 6 works flawlessly with a very light touch !!!!

Which fingerprint reader do you have on your new Dell and which did you have on the Sony? There are two different ones. One is a tiny and slim looking swipe type and the other is a larger full print type (no swiping). Dell sells both as an option but I'm wondering which you have. I don't have either as I can type my password pretty fast and didn't want to squirrel around my time figuring out how to get my stupid finger to log me in.

I would definitely contact Dell support though if it isn't working for you.

I saw a UHD XPS 9550 today at the microsoft store, and the horizontal viewing angles weren't that great; it reminded me of a TN panel. Does the UHD 7510 have the same problem?

I had the tiny swipe type one on the Sony vain Z. Worked flawlessly and I got used to using it with all the websites which required a user and password. I had fingerprint software sold with it which managed this pretty good. I missed it on the m3800 but wanted to get back this feature not only for logging in but most of all for storing all those website passwords. I don't want to use any software alternative like lastpass or keepas or whatever. The one I got on the 7510 is the large one. I don't think they sell the other swipe type on the d7510. I'll be talking to Dell soon about this.

Different people seem to have different experiences, even with the same display model number.

Mine was atrocious, and I was not the only one... I simply had to return the unit and order one with an FHD. (More details see previous posts)

What kind of battery life are you guys currently getting after all of the updates? Particularly for peeps with the 15.6" UltraSharp™ FHD IPS panel and 6-cell (91Wh) Lithium Ion battery?

I have the lithium polymer battery with FHD IPS with graphics switching enabled and I'm getting about 5.5-6 hours.

God, I wish Dell hadn't borked the Optimus implementation on my M4800 w/ igzo screen. I'm lucky to get 90 minutes.

Having a strange behavior here: I just started 7 VMs with 4GB each. The VMs are syspreped Windows 2012 R2 machines. The 7510 is having a hard time starting this VMs (initial startup and configuration). CPU is at 3.20 GHz and 100%. Ram is ok. The 7510 is really having a hard time here !!! I did a clean Windows 10 Install and all drivers are up to date. The VMs are on the NVMe 1TB drive.
