This morning I open my 7510 (left it on last night) and see updating windows screen at 13%.... one hour later is is on 20%...nice....Copying files takes forever... 12% in one hour...

Apparently installing windows 10 version 1511 10586... I cancelled it as it was updating for hours and yet only at 21%

10586 has been out since November but is now becoming the current stable branch (i.e. you will get it even if you have the "defer upgrades" option selected in Windows Update settings). You'll have to upgrade as some point as security fixes will halt for 10240, I think that is about a year out still. Surprised it took so long, all of the machines that I've done have been finished in 1.5 hours or less (usually much less). Maybe plan to do it over a weekend when your computer has some time to work on it...

Ok, it's on the system now but this was a long wait...

    Hello,

My SSD is 2"5 Intel. I plan to add an M2 Nvme SSD, maybe waiting for new models. Do I need some adapter to do that ?

The answer should be present in the 112 pages of this thread, I Know... :)

    Thanks.

You don't need anything extra to add the NVMe SSD.

After a week of use, I really like the 7510. The screen could be better colorwise but it's ok for brightness.
The position of the headphone jack is not so good I think but that's a minor detail.
I have a 1TB NVMe SSD and added a Sansung Evo 2TB SSD so my storage is great and fast...

The cpu (i7-6920HQ) on full load doesn't get warmer than 70 degrees Celcius so that is very good (and fannoise is acceptable)
The Quadro M2000 seems good enough for me. It ran F1 2015 @1920x1080 very smoothly.

All-in-all I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Switched from old e-port dock to WD15 USB-C dock today. I have two 1080p displays, USB mouse/keyboard, Ethernet, and headset attached. Everything is working fine so far, and Windows 10 set up all of the drivers by itself without me having to download anything from Dell.

The audio showed up as a Realtek USB audio device. I had to switch the driver to the Microsoft standard "USB audio" driver, otherwise I got a delay between the left and right audio channels, with the sound coming into my left ear about half a second before it came into my right ear, making a strange echo effect. The Microsoft driver doesn't have this problem.

A difference with displays is, with switchable graphics enabled, they are all now driven by the Intel GPU (whereas with the e-port dock, the internal display was driven by the Intel GPU and external displays by the NVIDIA).

Upgraded to BIOS 1.05.04 last night on my 7510. I've been using it all day with no issues. It seems like my experience with the TB15 dock has been better today as well.

Got the new one with the IGZO screen today. Just installed the 64GB or ram :) the screen is very good in my own opinion :) 3 TB of disk space. VMs will rock on this beast.
By the way the NVMe drivers are not included in Windows 10 as I tried to do a clean install and windows is not finding the 1TB samsung drive. So I'll be adding the drivers to the usb install disk.
