    Hello, thanks for your reply.

I do have an usb-recovery stick (bought this as an option and works 100%) but a good backup program would have been great.
I tought that this software was included but because of a reinstall I don't have it.

I wanted to further update the BIOS update, switchable graphics, black screen issue.

Dell sent a new motherboard which fixed the issue (mobo Part# N7XYM); however, my USB-C/Thunderbolt port no longer worked.

Dell blamed the issue on the technician that installed the motherboard and said most likely she didn't connect the daughterboard correctly, but went ahead and sent a new daughterboard (Part# CJT78) and new motherboard (Part# N7XYM) with her since they said it might be a bad connector.

Upon arriving with the new motherboard she noticed that the box for the motherboard had two different part numbers. A December dated sticker showed Part# O1NJ1T and a newer sticker dated May showed Part# N7XYM. The motherboard itself showed Part# O1NJ1T. I informed her that the Thunderbolt port wasn't available in December so it was possible this was an older motherboard. She agreed that it was possible/likely that the warehouse was substituting one for the other when in fact they weren't compatible. She said she would go ahead and install it and test it just to make sure the problem persisted.
So she installed the new motherboard and new daughterboard, but the USB-C port still didn't work.

At this point she contacted Dell and after a while they concluded they had sent out the non-Thunderbolt motherboard and said the correct Thunderbotl/USB-C motherboard was Part# M5RCF. They shipped this out for her to install the next day.

The next day came and somehow Dell managed to ship the same, pre-Thunderbolt motherboard (Part# N7XYM / O1NJ1T) a third time.

So the technician called Dell again to tell them they had sent the wrong motherboard a third time.
Dell then said they would just ship me a new system.

So now I am waiting for the new system to arrive (estimated 7-10 days).

Through this experience I can say a few things about Dell. They have an absolutely terrible warehousing/part numbering system, but they're great about their onsite service. If the case is submitted before 5PM, you can have a technician on site the next day to work. As for the technician working with me, she was terrific. She was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and kept me updated as to what was going on with the case. I really appreciated that since Dell had little to no contact with me through this entire ordeal.

So I just unpacked my new 7510, exactly same as the one I returned, but this time ordered not with the IGZO UHD screen, but with

391-BCFF 15.6" UltraSharp FHD IPS (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel
    Guarantee (72% color gamut)

In fact, I'm typing this post on the laptop and I can report that right from the first moment that the logon screen appeared, all my worries disappeared like snow to the sun! :)

Maybe it's also because the UHD IGZO was so terrible, but this one looks flat-out gorgeous. It is bright, has great viewing angles, not the smallest sign of backlight bleed or darkening near the edges. It feels so... comfortable to use it. The IGZO UHD was really tiresome, constantly getting in-your-face with the noticable contrast gradients on even-colored areas etc. After a while you start doubting yourself, but now that I see THIS screen, it's confirmed that the other one was just totally garbage.

I *do* already notice the loss in resolution, but couldn't care less to be honest.

I'll try to post some more detailed hardware info on the screen later, no time now.

Same one I bought after I accidentally ordered the non-IPS display (or very similar, it is also 156WF6 but some of the other numbers are different)... It's a good one :)

I have the same screen in my new 7510.

I calibrated it with Spyder4 Elite. It gave me 70% Adobe and 90% srgb. I chose wide gamut as screen and during the test the software asked me if I was sure it was wide gamut, I changed to normal :)

The screen looks good and bright, the colors could be better imo but I have to say that I come from a Macbook retina....

Erg, found a single green stuck pixel on my new LG screen. I checked carefully for stuck pixels using a full screen color cycle when I got the screen and couldn't find any. This particular one shows strange behavior I've never seen before in a stuck pixel...

It only shows up if there is a lot of dark/black color around it, but it does *not* show up if the entire screen is mostly black or mostly white.
For example, I noticed it in a standard Windows command-line window, the rest of the screen is covered with a white text editor. Move the black command line window near the stuck pixel and I can see it plain as day.
If I *maximize* the command-line window, the stuck pixel goes away and it is just black like it is supposed to be.
Put it back in a regular window, and the green stuck pixel is back. If I drag the window around I can see it fade in and out of view depending on the proximity of the window. If I remove the command line window (screen is now mostly white), stuck pixel is gone as well.

I'm trying the regular "fixes" that don't usually work and if I can't fix it, I think I'll just deal with it, as it shows up infrequently. (Not worth the hassle of trying to get the screen replaced again...)

Is it normal that the fingerprint login takes a few seconds? Windows Hello seems slowish

Yes, that is normal. It is the hardware rather than Windows Hello (it was similarly slow on Windows 7 and Windows 8).

My 3800 had a red stuck pixel, though it was less of an issue at 3200x1800...

Sometimes the "regular fixes" would work, but it'd come back. Eventually, it went away, so don't despair. Could be worse, could be dead!
