What do you think of the Precision screen compared to the MBP Retina screen so far?

I could live with Precision screen because it's IPS, it's brighter than any PC laptop screen that I've had before, plus I like 1920x1080 resolution on a 15.6" screen.
The Retina panel in the MBP is not special compared to other HiDPI panels found in PC laptops. What makes it better in my opinion is OS X. Font rendering and scaling in OS X is crazy good. I did run Windows on the MBP under Bootcamp and it looks very good no doubt, but the problem is with the apps and programs that don't support HiDPi in Windows. It sucks changing the scaling to 200% and sometimes even that doesn't work so I had to switch the resolution to 1920x1080 to be able to work with some software like Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, and Mastercam.
You can dislike Apple or OS X for many things, but their OS looks stunning in HiDPi screens. You can change the resolution to anything you like and never really see blurriness like in Windows with certain resolution.
And lets not even talk about Linux. HiDPi support in Linux is a complete joke. Only a couple of distros "support" it.

I have the exact same panel as you in my 7510 - Anti-Glare wide view IPS. I think it's a great choice and looks amazing. My original panel had a single dead pixel ... I got an exact same replacement and that one is perfect.
A lot of folks are asking about brightness and for me, it's not an issue with this panel. In a room with low to medium lighting I run brightness at about 30% and that's plenty.
I haven't taken it outside but I would guess that not in direct sunlight at 100% it would probably be OK.

I found that out when I received the confirmation. I guess the 2-4 days is for the base model at 1300 € and some. Delivery estimated around may 30.

Today I experienced a nice BIOS issue. Everybody knows that BIOS issues are nice.

So : for a reason I ignore, maybe a setting from me I don't remember or maybe a W7 unwanted action when updating some Dell softwares (likely this case !), my 7510 started with BIOS Dell logo displaying again and again. No W7, no Ubuntu (dual boot, the boot order is cleanly setup by BIOS and sometimes F12, no BootRepair stuff here). I checked all the changes I did to BIOS default setup and the faulty change was to switch virt. trusted exec. from OFF to ON.

I switched again to OFF but I had to delete and recreate my Ubuntu BIOS boot entry (selecting the file grubx64.efi). Now everything is fine but there is definitely something weird here.

    FYI.

I think that something is related to Intel Rapid Storage driver I updated these days from Dell's support website. Yesterday it was configured by W7. ( NB : I usally run Ubuntu, so I did : install on W7, run Ubuntu again and again, run W7 which configured this driver yesterday). I think it changed my AHCI to Raid and ???

If somebody could bring the Light of his knowledge on my issue, I would appreciate !
