on the dell confugurator they mention NVMe only in the second/additional disk choice.

 

You can find the OEM (Dell provided) 1TB speed test here. I have been very happy with the PM 951 1TB
Specifically Which model m.2 ship with precision 7000 series?

I have it in two of our 7710 laptops as the data drive and is an excellent scratch/data drive.

 

Plus the screw that holds down these cards falls in the middle of the card which means it's for M.2 only. That adapter has the holes in the corners.

 

I was going for the igzo but it is not a touchscreen. So I will take the ultra hd.

Time to get hold of some 64 GB ram modules. I ordered the 8 Gig version.

The whole thing is about 3000€ and some.

I think I'll get two of these:

HyperX Impact HX424S14IBK2/32 =>310€ from amazon.
