Confirmed on the matte finish the 7510 UHD screen. It is a gorgeous display. I didn't think it was that bright at first, but it is just as bright as the IPS on my 6500.

As a side note, Lenovo P70 became available to customize and order today; the processor currently maxes out at the Xeon E3-1505M and no PCI-e SSD options. It does offer the M3000M thru M5000M though. My little 5510 keeps up with that excluding the gfx card and weighs almost half as much. Maxed one out in the configurator with 4k screen, Xeon, 64 GB memory, M5000M, and two 512 GB SSD SATA 3 Drives for a total of $7560!

Well M3000M has 256bit memory bus opposed to the 128 bit of the M1000M. Surprised that they are not releasing faster Xeon. I configured a similar 7710 for about the same price, but with 1TB M.2 SSD.

P70 prices are completely ridiculous. The configuration I want is 50% more expensive, nearly $1200 on P70.

So does anyone know when thunderbolt 7710s will be available for order? I can wait for shipping but I would like to pay in 2015 for tax purposes.

Doubt you'll be able to order one before January, that's the given timeframe.

I'm amazed that Lenovo can release the P70 with 2 x Thunderbolt 3 ports (shipping in 10-12 business days) but the Dell 7710 w/ TB3 won't be out until sometime in Jan. Does Lenovo have more pull or better part suppliers?

It's possible that they are using different component suppliers. Lenovo is probably paying more for theirs.

Thunderbolt 3 is quite necessary but actually having it now isn't that beneficial as none of the Thunderbolt 3 docks are available.

I haven't checked the Lenovo site yet but yeah that is odd. The 10-12 business days not sure about that time.I wanted to get either the P70 or 7710 before Christmas but I am not going to chance on arriving after that also I want the TB3. Besides in January all parts should be available and I can compare them to the new Asus N series and the new HP zbook 17 G3 which I believe will be available in January also.

Lenovo's prices are astronomical - $2500 for M5000M, over $500 for UHD and so on. They are not even offering PCIe NVMe - just SATA.
