I've had an order in for 3 - 5510's for my business since Nov 19 - still says "In Production" so I called today and was told "problem with configuration" and the order would have to be canceled and reordered which I can't do since it is under my business account. If I go online and configure the unit again it says 7-9 business days but when I go all the way through to just before submitting the order it states - "Expected delivery 2/05-2/10 !!!
Sounds like Dell is having parts problems but they are not letting existing customers with orders in know about them (no emails, no phone communication). I'm really getting disenchanted with Dell's service (at least for Small-Medium Business).
My specs weren't outlandish - Xeon, 16GB RAM, 512GB PCIe, Quadro M1000M, additional 1TB HDD, and no, I didn't order the large battery.

Same thing happened to me. 5510 went from Dec 8 delivery to Dec 29 delivery yesterday. Very frustrated. Have any others had this problem?
    (Ordered on 11/17)

Does anyone believe we'll see a matte UHD later on - maybe none touch? I really don't care about the touch display, and I've had matte displays for years. I just care about colors.
    HPs DreamColor is matte

That could be it. I ordered the machine with an FHD screen (since I fail to see the point of 4k on a screen of that size; minimal benefit, but tons of trouble with quite a few Windows applications still, and lower battery life), and my ETA remained at 12/18.

If I'm not mistaken, the UHD on the 7510 is matte non touch....

Damn I'm looking into the 5510. None touch matte UHD would be so nice. I hate fingers on the LCD!

I've noticed ECC is available for 7510 now. Thought that might have been the case for some time, as I've only been keeping an eye on 5510.

OK, just got my OryxPro today. Some early feedback.

    1) Build quality is solid. The aluminum chassis is what you would expect. It's feels sturdy. Speakers are loud. Keyboard has zero flex and a good throw. Trackpad is nice and the buttons below it are real with good registration of being pressed. Fn+[Left Arrow] is not mapped to [Home] which is a little disappointing as a programmer. I wish the keyboard was centered with no number pad, but that's clearly personal preference. Fan is a little loud sometimes. Matte screen is very nice and easy on the eyes.

    2) Battery life - Don't expect much. As shipped and configured, this thing is pulling ~45-55 watts. Battery is 58.8Wh when full. Definitely meant to be plugged in. I expect you could improve that by using Optimus and the integrated GPU, but I prefer to keep it plugged in and running the discrete GPU.

Also, the AC adapter is a bit of a brick. Heavy and large for what you would expect in 2015. Not as large as the old precision adapters, but not as small as the newer ones.
