    I hate to say this but they are wrong. You will not see Thunderbolt 3 on the 7510 or the 7710 this year.

    @Dell-Mano_G What can't I configure a 7710 with the i7-6820HQ and not be forced to pay for a smartcard reader and/or FP reader.

    Can you tell us if there will be a significant delay in 2016 like if "January 2016" were to become, in reality, March 2016. Odd they would delay an important component like this - parts supply problems?

    On another topic - while configuring the 7710 if one were to chose "hard drive" (first hard drive on the website configurator) as M.2 512 GB PCIe NVMe and then the second and third drives as the 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe drives (one with an interposer for the 2.5" bay) and then check RAID 0 would they put the OS on the first drive and the 2nd and 3rd drives would be a RAID 0 volume? This seems logical but sometimes logic doesn't always hold true.

    @Dell-Mano_G will it ever be possible to configure a 7710 with a e3-1505 ? I do want a xeon but don't want to pay for a 1535.

    are there any good coupons for precision ? I am pricing a 7710 with 6820 & high res monitor for $2654 including tax with a 30% discount and I want to see if there is more I can do.

    I apologize if this has been covered before but Dell is offering 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe drives on the 7710 with delivery in 12-16 days - are these true Gen 3 X 4 drives? These must be Sansung 950 Pros but I thought 1TB was not to be released until 2016.

    The Xeon E3-1505M can already be configured in The Netherlands, Germany and the UK, so probably yes.

    Just wait for Dell US/Canada to update their website or call a rep. and ask for a quote on a Precision with the Xeon E3-1505M.

    So, 30% off is not enough?

    You probably also want free shipping?

    Hello,

    @Dell-Mano_G At dell France, the Precision 7710 with full HD seems to be offered with TN panel or IPS pannel. Are all precision laptop comming with IPS pannel? Or some country can have choice between TN and IPS pannel?

    They must be x4, was always my assumption anyway. I've not seen ANY PCIe 1TB SSDs, from any source. Which is why I might purchase the drives direct from Dell, if it is an OEM ONLY option.

    The max capacity PCIe drives I've seen anywhere on the internet has been for a 512GB. And best performing has been PCIe NVMe x4 950 and 951 (951 is OEM) from Samsung. So I think they are holding out on us. I say that because why else would Dell offer 1TB PCIe NVMe and we never hear about it anywhere else. I think something is about to break soon in tech news regarding 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs.

    Thanks for your reply - I thought I was missing something - I presume Dell has early access to the Samsung 1TB unless another manufacturer has stepped up to the plate.

    What gets me is that they offer what no other workstation offers as far as 1TB PCIe drives now and they can't offer Thunderbolt 3 until January (or beyond) when all the other manufacturers are offering those ports now. Strange.
