    John,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news again but going through all of my emails form yesterday I did receive another email saying there was yet another error. I am SOO very sorry and this has been escalated up as much as possible to get this order to you as quickly as possible. I did have to recreate it once again and I am sending you the new order confirmation. I will keep you posted on this order and again I am VERY sorry for all the trouble this order has caused.

    Regards,
    XXXXXXXXXX

If you have a Premier account with Dell, you can extensively configure the M4800 and M6800. More options than I remember seeing for the M6700 or M6600.

If the people that blamed the limited configs on parts shortages from Intel and Display manufacturers were correct, those shortages seem to be easing.

I need to work on getting a dell premier page.

Do you know if the following configuration is available right now on the M4800:?

    i7 4930MX(preferred) or 4900MQ
    8GB Ram (2 DIMMs)
    256gb mSATA
    Quadro K2100M
    QHD 3200x1800 Display
    FIPS Fingerprint reader
    Windows 8 Pro
    Backlit Keyboard
    8x DVDRW Slot Load
    9-Cell 97Whr Battery
Dell Wireless 1550 or Intel 7260

About to pick up a M4800, does anyone have experience or preference between the E Port, Plus, or Wigig dock? Price is no concern

Depends on how many external monitors and legacy port are needed.
If space, portability are not concerned, get the plus. Though if you are buying from dell, I believe the plus is (much) more expensive.

If you don't use external monitor( or monitors only for mostly semi-static content), the wigig is fine as well if you want a taste of wireless dock imo.

So no Wigig if you work on film and animation? Planning to order one, but if it is not a good combination I'll just keep plugging my cables manually.

E Port Plus would be the best for you. You want the dock with the most DisplayPort connections.
