Why is Dell US saying M4800 comes with Firepro M4100 ? AMD themselves and everywhere else its stated as M5100.

M4100 looks inferior to M4000, even with more vRAM.

Strange they don't know what's inside their own machine.

The tech specs indicate that the mSATA operates at SATA-3 speed this time around.

Are there any laptops with 10GBE? My understanding is that current chipsets use too much power for this to be reasonable.

So, the Covet version is only available with a touch screen. Then I'm not interested.

Well why would you want Covet version anyway? :)
I'm still hoping they will add IPS option for Covet, then I could live with glass-like touch screen.

Can anyone wrangle a release date out of their Dell rep on when that 8GB GPU is going to become available in the M6800? :)

I've been postponing this purchase since early summer, not really looking to wait until November or December if it's going to be that long...

Received this response on Twitter from @DellCaresPRO:

"Hello, I show it should be available at launch. Have you called and spoke with sales? Online sales have limited config options"

    'Limited' is an understatement...

I chatted with them and the rep said they don't know when the rest of the options will be available, but said he'd email me when he has any information. (We'll see if that works.)

Calling in might have better success. However, I'm not planning on getting one so I'm not going to bug anybody...

Seeing a message that the Blu-Ray drive on the 4800 (and I'd assume the 6800 as well) isn't compatible with Windows 7? What?

Pretty sure that most external USB Blu-Ray burners are compatible with Windows 7...
