That and 99% of slot loaded drives are a pain to remove. My Vostro 1500 and my Latitude D620 have 1 screw and come out in less than 10 seconds. Average slot loaded drive? 5-10 minutes. And slot loaded drives go bad 100x more than tray loaded..

Well luckily the M6500's slot load is easily removable since it isn't integrated into the body.

Any suggestions for a slim Blu-ray drive for the M6500 that isn't $300+ from Dell? Any thoughts on this?

This one is 12,7mm thick, in M6500 will only fit 9,5mm thick units ...

I just have replaced bluetooth module today (also the right I/O daughter board was replaced - because there is also a wlan switch on this board), but unfortunately I still get the exact same error so I cannot use/install bluetooth drivers/software, because activating Wlan switch doesn't seems to work for bluetooth ... BT and WIFI indication LED is lit up, and WLAN works without problem ... What else could be wrong here??

I posted this elsewhere, but do any other M6500 users here use Panasonic P2 Cards? They're a solid-state memory card in the form of a Cardbus card. On Windows 7 x64, I can't get the drivers to work for the life of me. I am getting conflicts with the Bluetooth 365 module, which is weird. I disabled it and it mounts the card as a drive, but in read-only mode.

Of course, Panasonic is no help.

I have a DuelAdapter, which adapts ExpressCard to Cardbus, and that DuelAdapter doesn't even work. Windows says it can't load the driver, even though it is built into Windows 7.. just a generic Texas Instruments chipset.

It's ashame to have both of these slots and neither work for these cards!

I don't know if it was ever definitively answered, but does anyone know if the Dell bluray drive is capable of burning dual layer bluray discs?

No, it is a bluray DVD combo, meaning it plays bluray and burns DVD's but cannot burn Blurays.
