    Update:
    The tech came today and replaced the mobo and the laptop was workin again.. I had to skip for work, but did end up running FurMark and Gpu-Z on it.

    All of the sudden there are 4 GPU temps being reported now!!! I'm pretty sure I only saw one before.. Will post a screenshot later.. Any thoughts!!??

    Just had the LCD and video card on my system. They used the horrible Samsung WUXGA WLED panel, man that thing is disgusting I am not even kidding. Picture quality, black representation, utterly horrible.

    I think they may be giving me the run around... they said they'd contact the original owner of the case, and they'd give me a call.
    Luckily I have a replacement I purchased from a vendor of my previous LG screen which was hell load better. LP171WU7 TL D1.

    Seem to be having an issue as if late that's getting fairly annoying.

    Seems that I'm getting to close to 50% of the time having to hard reboot/power cycle my machine when resuming from suspend. When I hit the power button to bring the machine out of suspend, I hear the dvd drive reset, fans come on, but that's about it. No drive light, no Wifi light, etc.

    I use suspend almost exclusively since my 6500's used around the house here 90% of the time and plugged in. I have an SSD as my primary drive, so I'd prefer to avoid using hibernate if possible to keep wear and tear down on it. Has anyone else experienced this issue with any regularity?

    There's an interesting discrepancy in the screenshot of the win7 event viewer I'll attach to this post. Suspended the machine at 8:15 am, turned it on and had to reboot at around 8PM. The event indicates that the OS thinks that the system restarted at 8:30AM???

    Thanks for any advice.

    Original case owner means the person whom handled the first call with a problem. For example my problem was green tint on the screen so the original case owner is the person whom I talked to about that problem. My second problem the one I described in my previous post is related to the LCD thus they treat it as the same case, thus they let the original case owner handle it.

    Also I was wrong about Dell, they were not putting me off, they actually tried to call me but kept getting a busy signal. I called them and got the issue taken care of, they will ship me a new replacement screen as parts and I will install it myself. Saves time.

    So far Dell is still #1 in customer support in my book, and that's a pretty big book.

    My first thought is the Crucial SSD. I had one installed last year and it was not detected by the M6500 during a warm boot (restart). I had to shut the laptop down to get it to boot correctly. I posted the information I found in this thread. At the time Crucial was not aware of the problem, since then they have updated the SSD in question but I am unsure if the issue with the M6500 was fixed.

    I have been having an issue with the video card that has been impossible to replicate. Earlier last year the video card was replaced and since then everything seemed fine, but every 3-4 days I get the following;

    YouTube - Unknown video issue M6500

    The only way to get the latop back to normal is to hold the power button down until it shuts down. Here's what I have tried to fix the issue;

    1. Video drivers, tried all of them, no difference.

    2. Shut the laptop down after use vs. sleep, no difference.

    3. Earlier this week I reinstalled Windows 7, no difference.

    Any thoughts?

    How about you monitor the temps/volts and log to a file and review it later.. Just to strike out one possibility..

    The temps are within acceptable limits and the voltages are not adjustable so I tend to ignore them.

    Have you tried to hook it up externally to a monitor to rule out the LCD/inverter. If it's still doing it externally, you have a bad GPU/motherboard or stick of RAM. If it's not doing it externally, it's the inverter/LCD. Is it still under warranty?
