Ordered 5510 a week ago. The configurator states a 8-11 day delivery, but after the order was accepted I got a 12/29 date. Hope they will make this date.

Places my order today. But won't get it until January. Dell said delay is caused by the UHD display.

I've been trying to cancel an order but customer service line is busy for >15 minutes. Anyone know of the fastest way to cancel?

    Thx

Wow, that's a lot of time to wait for a Precision 5510 with UHD :(

Microsoft Store has the almost-same XPS 15 on sale this morning for $1,899. Core i7-6700HQ, UHD, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, 84Wh battery, TPM.

That is a tiny bit slower than the Precision version, but it is hundreds of dollars less expensive and in stock right now. So very tempting.

Other than the slightly faster CPU and GPU options, have we identified any actual hardware differences in the Precision 5510 vs. the XPS 15?

Very interesting! What is different between the Precision 5510 motherboard and the XPS 15 motherboard?

I thought it was just a different CPU. Is the XPS15 using a different chipset? HM170 vs CM236?

    My 2 cents
