    @putgildain

    I'm in the same situation, however I am not considering the HP since the Dell xps 15 is the max size I'm willing to go with.

    My requirements:
    - quad core
    - decent graphics (I'm a game engine developer)
    - good keyboard
    - portable 14-15 inch screen (I have a desktop for most work, the laptop is for travel and a second machine)
    - at least 500 meg ssd

    The thinkpad 460p is quite builky (nearly an inch thick) and heavy.

    The thinkpad x1 yoga is great but does not offer quad core i7 (only dual). The thinkpad 460s is not as good as the x1 yoga and does not offer quad either.

    You may want to consider the Razer New Blade 14". It's powerful and has a 4k screen, good keyboard, quad core. I am wary of it due to the battery drain. 4k just adds battery drain and software compatibility problems for me as I don't do graphics work directly. If they offered this with a full HD screen I'd probably take this option.

    So I'm left with the dell xps 15 as the remaining option. The big cons for me are the keyboard and the stability issues.

    The 5510 they got me from work has been rock solid for the past 3 days, under both Windows and Linux (Fedora 23.)

    The exception is that I can't get the dock to work at all under Linux.
