No, DisplayPort 1.2 was not added until M6700.

My sister somehow got hold of my laptop (m6600) and now the hinges connecting the screen and the body have separated from the body. The wires are still connected and the laptop still works.

Have any of you guys had this problem and how did you fix it? Or does anybody have any idea for a (preferably cheap or free) fix?

You probably have to take it apart to see the hinges and what is loose. Hopefully nothing is cracked where the hinges screw in, such as the LCD casing or the bottom case.

Here is the bottom case that the hinges attach to. If it is cracked it will need to be replaced, for example.

Hi, disk looks healty, but power on count is high. This disk is for storage data not for system. I had same problem with Seagate XT with 4GB SSD. After reinstall windows it was same. When i put it to another laptop it works normal. You have 16GB RAM and system should not save data to HDD for lack RAM. You have two options. First is just do backup and reinstall Windows. Second is buy new HDD i recomend SSHD with 1TB. I have 500GB SSD with 1TB HDD for saving data. There is one of SSHD http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/intern...state-hybrid/laptop-solid-state-hybrid-drive/ .

I would buy a new SSD to boot win 10
    but i have another question
if i buy an SSD to boot i can use the same HDD to storage? or it has the risk of failing?
    thanks

Hi, of corse you can do it, but i recomend format HDD "SLOWLY" not fast. Format takes about 10-20 hours by my experience. Remember you have to do backup of data !!!

    What? Why?

A quick format should be fine.
