I think so... never had a connection problem like I am experiencing with this site. The weird thing is my wireless being disabled sometimes when I try to connect. That is a first.

I will have to try a different location.

    Thanks for your assistance!

I have been using for some time now a MyDigitalSSD 128GB 50mm Bullet Proof as my boot drive. I have just upgraded my secondry to a Hybrid Seagate 750GB Momentus XT SSD which is blinding and still have my turd drive green 1TB as a backup HDD. I want to replace my msata 128 with a Crucial M4 256GB - Solid State Drive - CT0256M4SSD3. Has anyone tried one of these. I know they are mSata III and the Dell M6600 is only mSata II but they are backward compatible. Also is it possible to upgrade the M6600 msata from 2 to 3 without renewing the M/B?

That's going to be a "no." The chipset only supports two SATA-2 ports and they were given to the two 2.5" primary drive bays. There's no way to swap them around without re-wiring the motherboard. The newer M6700 has the same limitation.

For those who have the FirePro M8900 card, what version Catalyst drivers are you using and are they from Dell or directly from AMD's site. I just re-installed windows yesterday and not sure if installing the latest drivers from AMD's site would make any difference.

I'm currently running version 8.830.5.0 from 4/19/2011 downloaded from Dell's site.

    Thanks.

im having a couple of issues lately that i cant seem to resolve.

    1) whenever i try to download any drivers from the dell site i always get the following message ; 'Sorry, the requested file could not be downloaded.'

    2) in the notification box in the taskbar i always have the usb sign with a green 'tick' sign and when i right click it it gives me the option to 'eject usb composite device', but i dont have any thing connected via usb.

    any help please with these?

Does it look like THIS image?, if so that's where the fingerprint reader is plugged in. Somewhere along a bios version that appeared. I don't know how to hide it and think everyone has it after bios A02.

Drivers section of reimaging thread has some links that I'll finish the remaining in the next couple days along with some older versions. Yes Dell drivers site is messy.

Edit: which driver you having trouble DL'ing, I'll check?

Dell Support gave me this link:

    AMD FirePro

when I asked about updating drivers for the FirePro M8900. For those drivers did increase by .2 in the WEI for the graphics numbers.
