Not really. There is only a .1 Mhz under full turbo 3.3 vs 3.4. You will not notice it unless you are using the most intensive of CPU tasks and put a stopwatch to it. Also, in real world applications you are unlikely to notice the difference even between the 2630 and the 2820. If you use very specific apps that task CPUs (not office programs, and even most games -- though there are exceptions) like virtualizationyou are not going "feel" any difference.

Also, if you want to measure differences use some of the better benchmarking tools that this site uses to compare computers. WEI will not tell you much of anything.

Oops! I confess that I forgot about the Seagate Momentus XT. It really has no competitor.

For me personally, however, I think I would still get either the Western Digital Scorpion Black or the Samsung M8. Both offer more storage, obvious, and as I mentioned before, I just prefer Western Digital to Seagate. As a hybrid drive, the Seagate Momentus XT offers better performance than the others but it still doesn't come anywhere close to an SSD. Since the SSD is my primary drive, I could use the additional storage of the Western Digital or Samsung over the hybrid Seagate.

But if I could only get one drive and did not need more than 500 GBytes of storage -- and honestly, most people don't -- the Seagate Momentus XT would probably be my choice.

    Thanks for the correction.

I have a quick question for you all. Is the Touchscreen LED option of the M6600 RGBLED or is it just a WLED + Touchscreen?

    I didn't know that m1710 had 2 processors.

No, I don't think so. It has a one CPU and one discrete GPU.

I'm sorry that this is a totally irrelevant question according to the thread but I just can't get it out of my head.

The girl in your sig, which anime is she from? I think I've seen her, but just can't place her at the moment.

    P.S. - I hope you get that M6600 as a replacement.

Thanks! :D Hopefully I can join the club.

Also the link for your answer is in the spoiler in order to not flag off the side question you have.

Gundam 00 is the anime if you want the short-hand answer.
