This helped, but I think I'll use the 500gb drive as the secondary once my ssd comes in. But I will be on the lookout for how the 1tb drive holds up (mainly going to be used as data storage). Also do you know what the power consumption is at idle and under use?

I just checked on my order that was placed on 6/29, my edd is 7/26 yet it says that the system has shipped. Yet I have not received any information on shipping from Dell or the carrier and nothing shows up in my account. Rather it says "information temporarily unavailable".

You can track it by Reference number and that is your order number on the Fedex site if you are in the US

Hey, and what about Seagate's XT hybrids? Are they not faster?
I am having 2x500GB WD Scorpios waiting for my M6600 anyway, but just out of curiosity...

Yes you should be able to mix the RAM speed but it will run at the lower RAM speed.

You can mix ram, but it will run at the slower timings and speed of the ram. It will probably also cause you other stability problems down the road. If you're not willing to run Memtest for half a day or overnight -- just match the ram!!

    My M6600 arrived today. :)
Only 1.5 months of waiting for Dell to deliver.
I also have a Clevo P170HM sitting here; the difference in the screen quality is night and day. The M6600 screen (FHD) makes the Clevo look like . The M6600 keyboard has a better layout and feel. However, the M6600 has the flex issue and the Clevo does not.

I haven't had time to sit down and benchmark (play) with either system. The Clevo has a GTX 580M and is unusually loud. The M6600 has the M8900.

Makes the Clevo look like what? =p

I called Dell earlier today about my order. I don't expect a call back. At least I got confirmation that it was "Fast Tracked", even though it doesn't mean anything.

Yeah this is interesting especially since some of the Clevo's have the 95% color gamut screens available on them. Really would be curious if you are comparing it to the high quality 95% color gamut screens available from some Clevo resellers or just the standard Clevo (probably 60% or less color gamut) compared to the 72% color gamut screen from Dell.

I dont understand how can my 2820 processor get 7.5 on WEI if people with 2720 are getting 7.5? Shouldn't it be more?
