    Hi there :)

    1) What would you say by "can't see the SSD in BIOS"?
The SSD isn't marked "SSD", but simply HDD. In the Boot order, you can click on all Hard Drive Disk, then, click on "view" (If you're using Legacy BIOS, I don't know for the UEFI mode).
With the View window, you can see what disk it is and set it correctly to boot on it.

    2) Using an ATI card (M8900), I can't answer for sure, but for all the PC (not notebook, station), I only see a VGA output with the Intel Integrated Graphics Chipset.
Have you try, for testing purpose, to plug it with VGA cable only?

I'm pretty sure I read that the HDMI and DisplayPort are connected directly to the discrete GPU? So you won't be able to use them with the integrated Intel card, only with the NVIDIA.

The only input I expect from Dell is to raise the fan speeds in the bios because even when the machine is on load you cant even hear the fans I know is amazing how quiet the machine is but we also need better temps

Remember the last generation i7's they did the same thing they release the 920XM on business and personal laptops but when the 940XM come out was only offered on the Alienware line and after 3 or 4 months they start offering on the business laptops too I think we are going to see new CPU's on the M6600 soon they probably release them with the upcoming IPS screen :)

If that's all you want then you have it by selecting:
    Ultra Performance (Max Fan Speeds)

OOooouuuuucchh! That hurts. The problem with replacements is that they always use refurbished pieces.
I don't know how the quality control procedure for refurbished pieces work (anyone?), but something that has already been used is more prone to be broken sooner than something that hasn't.
Do you know that you have 7 days to return a product, no questions asked? If the computer came with problems I would ask for a change of the computer for another new one (specially after more than two years with problems on my M6400)

@Speedy Gonzalez: That's not a BIOS option, this is on Windows.
Look at the Power Configuration Mode on Windows 7 (with the battery's logo, near the date/clock).
This is a Dell mode, installed by default (It come with the "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack (DFEP)")

Under my experience I can guarantee it is better to have it replaced for a new one as long as you can. The time you can spent talking by phone, testing, reinstalling.... etc, etc, worths 10 computers with the best components to say the very, very least. I can't be more convinced of it.
We buy fast and "reliable" computers/brands to save time (and money at the end) and you end up loosing 100 times more than the seconds you save with the speed...
Apart from the stress, the projects you can't have on time... ufff this topic touches one of my nerves...
Dell is going to replace my M6400 for an M6600 after two years, which is something relatively good to say about Dell, but if I had new I was going to have one eighth of the problems I had, I wouldn't have buy it even knowing they would eventually replace it for a better one.
If you have one that works stick to it cause it is a treasure... if not, change it until you have one that works well from the beginning.

Does your A06 BIOS screen look like mine below? It seems A06 does not display the SATA-00 port; only 01-05 (the rest of them). Likewise, it labels the secondary HDD as the primary:confused:. This is with the M4 128G and the 510 250G SSD's I have tried. Interesting...

HDMI stops at 1920x1080 using the onboard HD3000.
