Thanks for pointing me to Dell's 4600 webpage. $450 extra for the IPS.

Do you know Bokeh if the date for the IPS panel to be released is valid worldwide, or at least in the EU too?
Dell has offered me a rebate on the price of a Dell UltraSharp U2410 61cm(24") PremierColor monitor VGA,2DVI,DP,HDMI,Cs,Cn (1920x1200) Black EUR, in compensation for the IPS panel that I had in my M6400 Covet which is going to be replaced by a M6600, but I could wait for the onboard IPS if this is the case...

    Ouch, triple-digits right? :p

Well my third replacement M6600 has some misalignment issues going on and due to that (after sending an e-mail to tech support with pictures), looks like I am getting my case escalated to Resolutions. I wonder how this will end up...

Notice that on the new replacement the left side is sagging down when compared to the flush right side... Urrgh...

Yesterday I was contacted by DeLL and they told me that today they will swap my Chi Mei with an alternative.

I suppose I have an "angel in paradise", because Tuesday I was told they didn't spare Chi Mei alternatives, and bang! Today they have it and they are gonna change it :)

Let's hope this is not another Chi Mei like on Sep 23!

Well, I think you have no luck^^
I get a replacement too, but it work like a charm^^ (flickering issue with an LG panel, now, it's an AUO).

Yeah some of the earlier LG's flicker, but the color test wins hands down on the LG panel over the AUO.

I prefer a no flickering screen to a flicker screen^^
The color isn't the most important for the use I have (Development for the most part of what I do. Virtualization too.)

Well my replacement is a LG and I did have a M6600 with an LG panel that did flicker before so I might give an inspection later tonight but I'd figure it was early batch glitch.

Thanks for feeling the pain :)... but it doesn't hurt that much, actually the price of a 2720QM is just 45€ more than the 2620Q so not a big deal...
    ;)
