    Hey guys,

I will have two M6600 this week. One with the ChiMei and a better screen. Will take some pictures to show the real difference of those panels.

I have a question which I could not sort out with my current M6600. I have put the SSD into the second slot and the 1TB hard drive in my first one. But I can not active the AHCI mode.
What exactly do I need to do for that? Thank you.

I noticed your tag mentioning you were mending your dell and now it is kinda mended I am curious what it was you were mending and if or how you fixed it

Also you mention 72% gamut so is a common ips 100% color gamut or is there any specs on previous ips from dell

Is there anything special you did for those scores or is that standard turbo boost if it is standard than will it run turbo all day if there is a load or does it start and stop

Also curious if you are running bios A04 as I hear other probs with turbo not working i am wondering if it effects 2920 the same way

I see you have raid0 on hdd but how does that work with your mini ssd are they separate

And would you know how the 2960xm measures against the 2920xm and if there is a substantial performance benefit that would warrant the wait

The 72% is as stated by Dell and as measured by multiple people on this list. Both panels measure very closely.

The 100% color gamut on the IPS screen is also stated by Dell, but until they become available on Tuesday Nov 1st, no one will be able to measure them.

2960 is 200mhz faster at stock clocks on all levels (4-1 cores)

I'll try to answer those of your questions I'm positive about:

    - no, I didn't tweak it in any way

    - yes, it can run at that speed continuously (my last Moldflow analysis took some 52 hours, and the multiplier constantly alternated between 29 and 30, with the CPU load in the 95-100% range)

    - I'm on the BIOS v.A03

    - yes, the 128GB SSD is my system C: drive, and the RAID 0 is a separate D: drive for data

    - afaik, the newest extreme is indeed even faster - but it's only tweakable in the highest-end Alienware machine, not in the M6600 (who knows - perhaps it will be with the next BIOS?)

    Hope this helps;

    Piotr

Thats a very precise date so you must be feeling confident in your source

I see you mention 2.8 ghz for your 2920 which is a bit different than others have seen Is 2.8 with standard turbo or do/can you tweak it

Also do you see probs with 2920 turbo not working on A04 bios

plus I was asking about the older ips screens dell released or possibly the specs for the 6400 ips for reference
