Eh, just underscores that the benchmark is total bunk, I think. :D

Not that I'm aware of. There's certainly nothing in the BIOS, it might be possible to code a utility to do it within windows but I don't think anyone has done so.

    Thanks Bokeh.

No mention on extending eSATA compatibility though. I guess I'll pass on it - "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" they say :)

Just wanted to update those affected by audio clicks:

yes, it's definitely the power saving thing. The audio subsystem is switched off, and only turned on when needed - giving the click.

I left my Vegas Pro NLE editor on (and minimized) for a couple of days, having configured it to NOT close audio port when inactive. Not a single click during that time!

You do realize that they usually ship with the new BIOS a day or two after they are released from the top brass in the factory floor.

Otherwise, it is a very simple flash to do by following the directions from the Dell driver site.

Been travelling for a month with (terrific) E6320 and now back to M6600.

Any update on getting eSata to work with internal RAID M6600 and external RAID HD boxes?

Suggestions/fixes for the errors below? Thanks.

HWiNFO64, nice program. Interestingly under Ports it does not show eSata.

Mine shows the e-sata port under Motherboard->smbios dmi->ports->sata. Its one of them:

    Port Type: SATA
    Internal Reference: J6J1
    Internal Connector Type: None
    External Reference: eSATA Port 3
External Connector Type: SAS/SATA Plug Receptacle

All a e-sata port is is usually just a sata port on the controller that runs to the outside.
