I have added that number to my contact list, thanks a bunch.

Hopefully once I get my M6600, I won't have to use it.

I ordered my M6600 (in Canada) in mid-July, equipped with the Quadro 4000M, and I just checked with HWinfo, and it says:

    LG Philips LP173WF1
    173WF1 Dell P/N VCV1F
    Week 0 Year 2010

I just received mine in Canada, and I have the Quadro 3000M.

I installed HWiNFO out of curiosity, and see that I have a 6-bit Chi Mei panel as well.:mad2:

I've got the same, with the NVidia 3000m. Also ordered in June/July.

I run into something strange. I just thinked about it and run hwinfo (this time the 32 bit) on my old hp8510p. It said my panel on that is Chi Mei as well. Production time 1990... Now that cant be right.... The 1990 for sure (16:10, wsxga+)

The production time is never correct for any panel. However HWINFO32 and 64 will get the model and manufacturer correct.

Well, the screen of my 8510p was quite ok (the max brightness was lacking). What annoys me in my M6600, that even the white color is a bit blueish. Brightness is more then enough.

I spoke with dell support. They are sending a replacement lcd with a technican. It might happen tomorrow (if they have an lcd for it in my country). Or later if they have to order it. I will report here what happened. They did not tell me what replacement I will get. My main focus was on the blueish color, I only secondary told them about the Chi Mei screen (which should have been lg or AU).

Oh my god, I also called Dell few minutes before and the man at the service line asked me to take photos to be able to decide whether I get a replacement display or not.

They wanted me to try on another monitor, but as I have none they are sending in a replacement. The guy I was speaking with thought it might be gpu problem. I hope he is not right, we will see.
