Oh man, i can't wait anymore.

After seeing this guy - totally freaking out about the M6400 - I guess DELL did the right thing. Perfect display, finally a NUM-block, most powerful components up to date.
I guess hp and lenovo have to build another workstation to compete against the precision.

Ok, so my budget has to include RGB LED. :)

And I think I'm a sucker for packaging, because the metallic orange color is also on my short list of features.

Btw David, if Dell would like free advertising on the startup I'm launching in Q4, I'd be happy to discuss a deal for a fully loaded orange m6400 ;)

FYI - The Dell Precision product page announcing the M6400 that I've been refreshing for the past month+ has now been taken down.

    Exciting! It's almost here.

Yeah, where is the "optional edge-to-edge" RGBLED screen? And the orange anodized model? Oh, and a little thing I saw: Apparently the Bluetooth with UWB module is not compatible with Vista 64. Anybody know anything about this? UWB would be great to have in the future.

P.S.: I spec'd one out fully maxed, quad core, FX3700, 16GB, dual 360GB, 7200 rpm drives. Comes to $7,200 roughly. Not too bad... :D

The UK site doesn't allow specification of RAID or 2 drives! :s

    £2305 (~$4270) for 16GB RAM - I paid £140 for my Vostro's 4GB!

    Time, hopefully, will resolve this...

According to "The Register" the edge-to-edge screen will only be available on the special orange M6400 "Covet" variant, to be launched later this year.

Anyone got a second source for this info? I read somewhere the orange version will be a limited run.
