    Finally last, update.
The i7 4800MQ is for sure 100% broken .It only works with Single Core enabled.
The computer doesn't have any other kind of problem.

So the best thing to do is to buy a new one CPU ,any suggestions ? ( I saw the 4910MQ only for 130$ shipped globally on aliexpress) i think is the best deal.
Was looking to spend around 100$ ,but i could put a little bit more on it .

Anyone know of good options to purchase a 9 cell battery for this machine?

I believe the part numbers are possibly: FVWT4, 1C75X. Type FV993.

Any inputs welcome. I found one listing on Dell.com but it's coming out to over $200.

There's not a whole lot of reliable resellers who specifying the cells used in the assembly.
The two vendors I've bought from and know of are these

Not a whole lot cheaper than oem but eh its a little cheaper

About the talk that non Dell genuine batteries will not charge I cant speak for but on the charger side I have had my original dell chargers teared down and there is only two pins soldered to the pcb, the third is only a dud, not connected to anything inside the case so there technically is no data connection in the cable even though the bios can detect which charger is connected,ie 230w or 240w which I have several of.
The battery however I do have two M4800 that has power management in bios while the other does not, quick charge, primary AC use etc but I don't know why the other don't have it.
I simply don't know, but I find it hard to believe otherwise there wouldn't be any spare parts for sale if they don't work unless they're oem parts

    unnoticed: Thanks for sharing.

I'm about to just go for it and get the official part from Provantage.com where it's a bit cheaper. Seems like a good company that should have original parts. I don't mind spending the asking price as long as I know it's original Dell.

If anyone has dealt with them, would help to hear your experience!

I've ordered generics from Newegg twice. Both looked 100% legit Dell, and worked well.

The only issue is the second one is slightly off in size, so every now and then when I move my laptop the battery falls out and the machine loses power. Annoying, but not that bad now that it's a spare machine at home and I mostly use my work laptop or Pixelbook when I'm more mobile.

Thanks for sharing. I think it might be worthwhile to get the original (hopefully) from provantage.

It sounds like your CPU is done which you already know. If you look to buy "new" one anything from 4700mq to 4940mx will work fine.

Long time ago i went with 4710mq as it was the same price as 4700mq for a few mhz more. For inlaws i went with 4702mq (35w) as about a year ago it was around 50€ while others were double or more.

On a side note, did you test all your ram sticks or transfer them around while cpu testing?

An update on my battery search.

I ordered the part labeled 451-BBGO from Provantage but I received a battery that fits but doesn't look like the original at all, instead of the satin finish, this has a glossy plastic finish and the rubber feet don't look the same as the original.

It doesn't match the photos shown on the listing, which are what the original battery I have looks like.

    Just a buyer beware.
