The system originally shipped with 3200x1800 display as the max but eventually that was upgraded to 4K. I am not sure if there are separate LVDS and eDP versions of the motherboard like there are for the M6800. You will definitely need an eDP display connector on the motherboard to fit a 4K panel in.

Man ,happy christmas ,plus thank you for the reply.
Yes, of course i will buy a cable, and i will swap the screen for a better one.
I just an upgrade of the AMD as well as i was searching around, that i can get with only few bucks a better GPU (35$ for a 5100 AMD) which is NOT bad at all ,in comparison with the K2100M.
    You agree on me ?

I have a m5100 in my system, you can flash the Vbios with a unlocked one for more performance. I've got mine running at 975Mhz on the core and 1450Mhz on the Vram. In Passmark it's scoring around 2700 now, so it's like a GT 1030 in performance. Got 75fps in Cinebench R15 openGL but it's still bottlenecked by the i5 I think (4930mx on the way).

Can you share your modification with us in detail? How's the battery life/head with the overclock gpu?

Is the the same procedure as shown in

Well for the battery life, if you still have the intel iGPU (which you can undervolt with intel XTU) enable it doesn't really change because the firepro totally poweroff when not in use (so still around 5 hours with a 97Wh battery), and still limit itself to 400MHz on battery if you disable the intel iGPU.

And yes, I followed the instruction of this thread, flashing in windows (make sure to have your intel iGPU enable for this)

Guys, I ran into a bizarre airplane mode issue on my m4800.
My m4800 is now completely stuck in airplane mode. There's no way to disable airplane mode...
    What should I do?
This happened after I update my windows 10 two days ago.

Here's a summary of my situation:
    - laptop seems to be in permanent airplane mode.
    - airplane mode button is not working. I tried to re-install M4800 airplane mode switch driver but no luck.
    - both airplane mode and wifi icons are grayed out. They can't be clicked.
    - I tested with my USB wifi adapter, it could detect wifi signals but it quickly went back to airplane mode. Apparently, there's no problem with my Wifi card or USB wifi adapter.
    - I updated BIOS to the latest version but no luck.
    - Network adapter reset / reinstall didn't work
    - I did Windows 10 reset.. but now my windows 10 starts with airplane mode turned on.

It looks like M4800's airplane mode switch is no longer compatible with newer version of Windows 10...

    Please help. Thanks

and what is shortcut command for airplane mode on / off ?
on other laptops, Fn + PrtScrn will trigger airplane mode on / off but on M4800, that will take a screenshot instead. It doesn't seem to have airplane on / off shortcut command.

so here's my warning to you guys. Don't get the windows 10 update from 1/15/2020. It looks like it has something that screws M4800's airplane mode switch.

It sounds like the laptop thinks that your physical airplane mode switch is "stuck" on. I have M6700 with the same switch and same driver and I am having no trouble (with the latest Windows 10 update).
I looked in Device Manager and it looks like there is no option to disable this switch. However, if you uninstall it in device manager, the system is no longer able to detect when the switch is moved. (You would have to do this after every reboot as it will be re-detected.)

Thanks. I already tried that. There's airplane mode driver... I did uninstall and also re-install with this one:
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/ca/en/cabsdt1/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=px8mm

It didn't fix anything... any other suggestion?
