I spend a fair amount with Dell, and they take quite good care of me! I've seen pics/vids of them with the black carbon fibre lid but I think that must go hand in hand with the touch screen (when it becomes available)

I got mine yesterday! I love it so far.

My biggest complaint is that the LCD has a lot of backlight bleed.

Another complaint is that the product guide mentions it has NFC capability, but my system didn't come with that.

I think I'll arrange an exchange because of the backlight bleed.

IPS screens are troublesome for backlit bleed, but I have noticed this one is quite bad for it. Still better than the utter crap you normally get in a Latitude.

I placed a replacement order last week.

I hope the panel lottery works out in my favor this time.

Anyone have any luck getting an ETA on the 1080p screen for the E7240?

Am supposed to have mine shipped tomorrow with delivery Monday, 10/21. Will post impressions once I get it.

Backlit bleed doesn't bother me too much though.

I just hope the second unit I get doesn't have worse bleed.

    Hi All,

I would like to know if anyone knows the colour gamut of the full HD displays in the 7440. Is the touch and non-touch panel any different from each other?
    Thanks in advance.
