btw. I was able to compare the 3 WXGA+ (SEC, LPL, AUO)panels directly and can tell you that all panels are on the same level.

I found a WXGA+ 14.1inch display compatible for D620 or something. Will this be compatible? Im assuming the LCD itself is really the same, and the only thing that may need replacin is the side bracket. The connections and the back look the same.

Can some1 tell me, if I can switch displays between two E6400s, one of them is with nvidia option and the other one just with intel igp. But both have WXGA+ Displays. Or is the connection cable between gpu and display different with nvidia gpu?

Sebi, you can hot swap display. The display connection to the motherboard is "generic"

If you have an E6400 that has a CCFL display, you can basically drop in a D620/D630 CCFL WXGA+ without any other modifications (maybe a new display cable). If you have an LED screen, you may need to change the cable, lids, maybe buy an inverter, etc. Basically it may or may not be involved depending on your current configuration.

I am in search for a replacement battery and charger for my aging E6400. I already bought a non-genuine battery from eBay which turned out to be defective after 12 days of operation. At more than twice the price of the non-genuine battery, the OEM option would be a bit pricey for me. Should I continue looking for a non-OEM part? Do you guys know of any reputed eBay sellers from which I can get a good replacement battery?

I recently purchased a e6400 on ebay and I'm looking into upgrading it as much as possible. I realize that my money could be spent on newer hardware, but I purchased it to spread the cost out, as well as filling a particular hardware need. I'd like to upgrade the processor and get an SSD. It seems the best option is the t9900? And the max ram is 8 gigs? I'd also like to purchase a cost effective SSD and to fill the drive bay with a additional hard drive since I never really use CD/DVDs. I appreciate any information anyone can provide. And thank you in advance.

Yes, the best CPU is probably the T9900. I do not think you can use Extremes, and definitely not quads. The official max memory is 8GB, but I dunno if people have been able to use more.

Thank you. Any idea what a good SSD would be? Any information I've found is outdated.
