It's still like $50, possibly more if you want the dual-DVI one. Quite frankly I think it's stupidly expensive given that the D-Dock was half the price at this point in its lifecycle.

Ya, at that price I think I will just pass. :p Wonder why they are still so pricey.

Anyone planning to upgrade their E6400 this year? If so, what do you intend to replace it with?

I went from E6400 -> T400 -> X220 for my primary machine. If you're looking at moving up this year, you should probably wait for the Dell/Lenovo IB offerings.

Toying with XPS 13 - love the design, not loving low res & low voltage - meh!

If Dell actually sold Alienwares here in Portugal, I'd go with an M14x.

Got the EXACT same E6400 as you, even same SSD. Well, I'm waiting to see next gen Latitude E series, since I'd prefer to continue using my E series dock and random accessories.
I really hope the next gen will be better looking than the E6x20's.

Heh, based on Dell's track record, I think the E6x30 chassis will be the same... they got a lot of crap for the current design, but I think there were a lot of people who liked it too.

I'm one of them. I think overall the current design works quite well. Sure, it could use a few tweaks, but it still says "business notebook" and still looks good. Though that's subjective.

I am told by Dell sources, the chassis will be totally revamped & is due for release around June. My guess is that it will look more like the XPS 13, maybe using carbon fibre too.
