Ah yes it is indeed. I just found the E6400 manual online and it reads contactless smart card reader. Didn't realise it was up already.

    I've questions regarding latitude on:
Does it have at least text editor, or something for taking notes? Also mp3 player will be nice. Can it use external usb flash disk?
Is there any difference between upgrade and build in version? (like one will take mini-pci slot and the other will not or so)
    Is it worth waiting? :)

IMO it'll be best if they'll make it open, so you can install additional sw. I think nearly any OS app could be ported.

Regarding the new latitudes: it's nearly ideal notebook for me, it has all the interfaces i want, led lcd etc., but why the .... put they that "thing" on the back (hinges). The perfect thing about thinkpad is, that when you close it, it's simply a brick :). Am I the only one who hates it?

I'm sure the question was answered several times, but I can't find it, don't know the right words to search for:

Can I order a Latitude even if I am not "a business"? At least in Switzerland when you go to "Personal" (or "Home products" or whatever its called) you can't choose the Latitude models, only Inspiron, XPS and Studio.

Only business customers can order them...what's wrong with that?

    Thanks!

I have been able to order from the small business store in the United States without a problem. It is a good thing too since you can't order servers from the home store.

I don't think they will be since I haven't seen the last generation Precisions on there either

No text editor with Latitude on. With the upgraded version, it will be able to send and recieve emails along with browse the web. Havent seen anything on an MP3 player app in there, so I doubt it.
