    According to the spec, the E6500 weighs only 5.1lb. So, it is almost as light as a T61? That would be so cool.

    There are still no Vista 64 options? :(

    In case no one noticed, the Precision's ship date is 9/2/08, which is odd, cause the latitudes are 9/15/08.

    Starting weight. so assume the smallest battery option and no optical drive.

    Compare it with the starting weight of the current model. The E6400 is 1.95kg and the D630 is 1.98kg, so no big difference there.

    Almost all machines ship with both x86 and x64 versions of the vista os. I would be surprised if this were not the case with these machines.

    that would make sense -- hopefully the product configuration pages are just templates, and have not been updated with the true hardware yet.
