There was very little information about this laptop for a while, glad to see notebookcheck have covered it!

Very glad to see Dell sticking with PWM flicker free displays.

And I guess that day is today. I see 36 in there today. I want i5-6300, 1x8GB, webcam, and fingerprint reader. Not seeing any with fingerprint reader in there currently. What is interesting is that if I select no model and choose fingerprint reader, it only shows 2 total laptops across the entire Dell Business line. Sounds like the machines are not tagged properly. Boo!

Noticed them in the Outlet too, too bad the 7440 and 7450s didn't fall in price.

I am sure they will when there is more E7470s in there. Be nice when I see some that actually have some options in there. Only seems to be 3 basic models in there....and none have webcams or fingerprint readers. More shocking is there are still E7440s in there...

Funny thing is I priced out 7440, 7450 and 7470 and for similar configs they are within $50-100 of each other.

I've seen the same pricing behaviour on the Dell UK Outlet. I have to assume that someone eventually buys the older models, perhaps for consistency with what they have already or possibly for a feature that the new models don't have. For the rest of us it means not paying a premium for the new models.

Unfortunately, I am one of those for whom the E7440 does offer something the newer ones don't, real 'Home/End' keys!

I got really used to not having dedicated home/end keys. I go from my E7450 to my E7240 and keep changing the backlight on the keyboard when using the E7240.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on an E7470.....

Got a good deal from our Premiere rep.
