I kind of thought about checking to see if they would let me downgrade to Windows 7. Wonder if it would be worth it.

Anyone else have the space bar issues I mentioned where it doesn't register if you press on the bottom portion of the key, or is that just me with the two laptops I've gotten?

I don't have any issues with my space bar. One thing I should mention is that you should have an in home warranty from Dell.

    Thanks for the info.
Yeah, it came with a 1 year NBD on site warranty. If I need to I'll have them take a look at it.

Anyone that's using Windows 7, have you logged the clockspeeds for the cpu and/or gpu during a game or program where both cpu and gpu are used more heavily? If so, do they get underclocked (like 1.6 ghz cpu and 575mhz for gpu) like they do in Win 8 and 8.1?

Yes, this happens with both Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 the key to letting the Cpu run high is to keep the fans dust free.

Seems a very good value laptop indeed. Does it have backlit keyboard?

How did you get it to dual boot? Did you have to modify the bootloader at all? I couldn't get it to run in dual boot.

I don't think it does. At least Dell does not offer a back-lit option. They do make one for the 14 inch version of this laptop but the problem is it is a different size and there is no dedicated gpu in that one.
