Could this be a driver issue? If they released a later revision, would the 1700m perform better?

Hey guys, I already posted this on another thread since I didn't know this one existed but after looking at the results you guys are getting, I'm very concerned something is way off with my setup.

I have recently got a new Dell MX4400 with the following key specifications:

    CPU: Intel T9800 @ 2.93Ghz 1.067Ghz FSB
    Ram: 4GB @ 800Mhz DDR2
    Graphics: Quadro FX 1700M - 512MB
WinXP64 - Latest Nvidia driver - Powermizer disabled from Nvidia control panel.

My highest 3dMark 2006 score was 5800. Couldn't get any higher than that. I think I am using BIOS A13 version if that makes a difference.

Any help/advice would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks !

EDIT: Ok, nevermind me, my results were for 1280x1024 so I guess that looks OK. My other problem is that I am having much less performance on 3dMark 2006 and games while on battery. I have already disabled Powermizer from Nvidia control panel, what is this BIOS based downclocking are you talking about?

as far as i know, the general consensus was the fx1700 wasnt worth the upgrade, as it produces more heat, consumes more power, and dosent have much better performance.

with the latest drivers and firmware, it does seem to perform better than before, but only on certain applications.

Yes, but than again, you get the same improvements with the FX 770 and a little overclocking ;)
