What is your cpu (quad core) temp when in idle or light load? I get around 50c and 55c on my i7 2760.

That range is within the normal window. You can confirm everything is 100% good to go using the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool. This is an excellent utility that will allow you to sleep good at night knowing every aspect of your processor and chipset has been checked.

Unless your battery, like mine, shows 25% wear after only ~7 months..which is just disgusting since there is no way to "reset" it......

Very frustrated - my 5+ battery life is now down to about 3.5 hours.....

I actually like it, yes it adds a little more weight, but is very handy for holding while transporting the laptop...it's like a nicely situated handle on the back to keep it secure while transporting....

    Hello,
    How you installed?
Did you put any spacer or installed without spacer?

Thanks Scott, test says all good, just wanted to cross check with other E6520 owners, the general rule is the cooler the better. The M6600 runs cooler at 44C but it has a better cooling system.

I purchased 3 Samsung 830 SSD (1 512GB and 2 256GB) and neither one came with the spacer, although in the manual it says it should be included. Has anyone else had the spacer included in the box?
