The E6510 had powershare on the USB, but the E6520 does not. The closest you get to it is this USB power setting in the BIOS:

    USB Wake Support
Allows you to enable USB devices to wake the system from Standby.

    Default Setting: Disabled

NOTE: This feature is only functional when the AC power adapter is connected. If the AC power adapter is removed during Standby, the system setup will remove power from all of the USB ports to conserve battery power.

    Scott-

    Reference: System Setup Menu Options

PS: Also make sure the generic USB hub power control boxes are NOT checked (unlike mine below) in your device manager within Windows.

    Hi Scott,

Thanks - I have checked and it says sec5448 which it seems to be a Samsung, it has a good uniform brightness and viewing angles. My previous E6520 was more bright but the brightness was not uniform at all.

Does anyone else have issues with their E6520 waking up from standby and running until critical power?

I NEVER used to have this issue. My E6510 does it constantly, and now my E6520 started to as well. Would love to know what's causing it.

Thanks. I'm on A07 if it helps.

Rykoshet, I have't noticed this bug yet. If you deal the same problem with E6510 and E6520, it is possible to be responsible a non-Dell driver or program installed on your systems. Maybe a USB Keyboard, mouse-driver or something like that. Have you recently installed any peripheral device on your E6520?

With the new A08 Bios the fan speed/noise has increased, do you get the same feeling?

    CPUID temps are low, 45-49C..

No...not sure. My E6510 is from work, so who know's what they've put there.

The E6520...the only thing I can think of is Breakaway Audio Enhancer (makes music much louder).

Will try a few more times and see if it keeps booting up.
