I am still searching for a place where I can buy a backlit Swedish keyboard to the E6520. Buying from Dell seems to be the last resort. Do anyone have a link to Dell Parts ?

I tried to buy a backlit Keyboard with Greek Characters and they informed me that are offered in select countries. So, I am not sure that Dell offers backlit Swedish Keyboards. Have you asked them?

Probably a pipe dream, but any change in FLASH SATA support in this latest BIOS?

Scott & others, what do you think the chances are that we can one day run a SATA FLASH drive off that internal port as a boot drive for the OS?

The hardware and logic is there... so it should be supported 100% at some point.

Have you run a diagnostics by choosing that option after hitting F12 when you first start the system to get the to manual boot menu?

Does it do this in Windows only or even when you boot into the BIOS?

Since they changed some parts of the support site, the new downloads contain wrong URL.
I've tried to report this via the Feedback link, but no reaction...
    Support a'la Dell... :-(

Woah - deja vu! What you're looking at is why I finally upgraded this Spring from my Inspiron 8600. That was almost exactly the initial symptom. It also happened when in the BIOS in my case which strongly suggested a graphics chip failure (I checked the inverter & screen from another input source, and replicated on the video out).

This leads to Scott's question of trying to separate hardware from software issues - if you power on and enter the BIOS, do you see any graphics artifacts if you let it sit in the BIOS for a little bit? If not, that would strongly suggest a windows problem.

You could try a USB-stick Linux boot or something too and see if you encounter problems too.

I haven't experienced this problem before. I would suggest to follow Scott_RC-TEK advices and inform us about diagnostics results. Also, send us the version of your graphic card drivers. If this problem occurs only in windows environment I will suggest to unistall graphic card drivers in safe mode, restart and try to install them again. Attention!!! Restart your system when necessary. I watched your youtube video and I think it is possible a chip failure, and that's because of the square figures appeared. Another reason for this effect is the cable which connect the LED screen and graphic card, but in this scenario your system shouldn't shut down.
