I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but I'll give you my experience:

Having looked at the innards of 3 different E6520s, each of them had 3 wires available to connect to wireless cards. They may have all had the same wireless cards, though. I'm really not sure.

I installed a 3rd party wireless card (Bigfoot Killer Wireless N) which only has two connectors on it. Hence, my E6520 uses only 2 of the 3 available antennas. It works just fine using 2 out of the 3.

What you could do is find a picture of the wireless card you're upgrading from, and see how many antenna connectors it has. If it has 3 connectors, and if it's the computer's stock card, the E6520 will most likely have 3 wires.

Also, take a look at the E6520 service manual (I think it's finally out) and see if references the antennas at all.

Report back your findings. Good luck.

Well, still having issues finding the proper video cable to upgrade to my FHD screen. I've bought and returned three different lids with cables off eBay.

Would someone be so kind to jot down the cable part number for the FHD (1920x1080) display next time they have theirs apart?

    Thanks!

On other devices the following line is added:
    14. Fix Turbo Boost function abnormal.

I have a feeling it's fixed anyway. Will try it tonight!

EDIT: IT'S STILL NOT WORKING..... what a bunch of idiots at dell.

I also checked. Mine is a "peculiar" situation, as I am a pure linux user. In Linux my machine (E6420 with I7-2720QM CPU) has the following behavior:

    1. Apparently (I check using the i7z utility) the CPU stays at full throtthle (2.2Ghz) even when idle, but a check to the power consumed and to core temperatures seem to suggest that the CPU actually is running at minimal speed. My conclusion is that this is what happens and there is some issue with the tool I used to show the current CPU speed.

    2. The performance of the intel GPU is much improved (glxgears goes from 2100 fps to 3100). This is nice.

    3. Under load, the same i7z utility reports that turbo mode is not enabled and the CPU runs at 2.2Ghz at most. I was wondering if this was also just a problem with the reported speed, not the actual one. Well, this is not the case. i run a pure CPU benchmark and it runs much slower on A07 than on A05, where turbo mode works.

Now I would ask to the windows users if the same behavior happens in windows, with the latest intel drivers.

If this is the case then I must agree with Lennartb "what a bunch of idiots at dell"!

Keep us informed about your findings

    Thanks
    G.
