Great purchase! Hope you will receive it soon.

Well, everybody has it's own preference for the best quality ram. I personally prefer kingston. Look for the KTD-L3B/4G they work fine. I own the hyper X KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G modules because of my I7-2720qm cpu which has a 1600mhz memory controller.

I don't think you are from the netherlands so I can't help you with any prices. Here they are about 25euro each ~ $35

    Good luck!

Thanks for the response back. As chance would have it, I ordered 8GB (2X4GB) of Kingston DDR3 Ram earlier today for $45.99. That was certainly less than I was expecting to pay. Here is the link in case anyone is interested:

Bought one of these puppies on outlet. It was 840$ and then I used a 25% coupon to lower it to 630$ :)
So glad that I got a 1080p matte screen notebook for a nice price :D

I am going to install some more RAM and an SSD. Does anyone know if it's possible for me to manually put in an LED keyboard? :p

Well, I just recieved mine (from the outlet) and not impressed by the fit and quality. 94% for workmanship? Review Dell Latitude E6520 i5/HD Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews I don't think so...

In particular, the bottom plate at the front of the DVD drive creaks quite loudly when pressed and has a noticeable, if small, gap. I've seen similar reports on the E6420 thread.

It may be alloy, but take out the DVD drive and you can see just how thin the bottom plate is.

Anyone else have similar issues with a creaking base plate?

The lid is very nice and it's a nice looking machine but not the solid business quality I was expecting.

Mmmm, don't have the same issues as you described. Perhaps something is bend?

I don't have the creaking base plate, that would be annoying :)

Reading this Initial Thoughts On Dell's New E6520 - Ars Technica OpenForum, I see "Its the build quality. Yes we have all the right tick marks for Mil spec toughness, Metal frame, magnesium casings and the like, but the actual implementation is poor. The bottom cover of the laptop has clips in the front of the case and screws in theh rear. I am sure this saved an assembly line robot or foxcon employee their job in corporate savings, but the front of the laptop creaks and groans. It clicks with pressure as the tabs pop and flex. Its just poor design - it needs to have screws all around the frame."

Certainly true for the one I have.

And the picture at NEW DELL Latitude E6520 Bottom Base Panel P/N V45CW | eBay shows just four tiny tabs at the front. No wonder fit is less than impressive.

It's a weakness in an otherwise nice machine.

Well, I managed to stop the creaking corner by taking out the DVD drive and pushing a sliver of thin card towards the fornt corner, between the base plate and bottom. It's the slight gap of the base plate that causes the creaking. Not something I'd expect to do with a laptop of this class and Dell really should have put a screw in this corner. But at least it no longer creaks!

That aside, it's a very nice laptop. Very quiet fan. A bit bulky and heavy but not too bad.
