You will need to get an E6410 screen for it. I would recommend the AUO panel, DP/N DV5J1 or CCXMW (CCXMW is the new part number).

My E6410 (Intel graphics) motherboard is dead. I have a new E6410 (NVIDIA) board that I'd like to use to replace the dead one. Is my thinking correct that I could use the NVIDIA mobo here but would end up with an extra part, that being the Intel graphics card?

    Thanks very much.

PS: (I did read this long thread and didnt see this exact question answered.)

While the board will work in your system, you'll need to get the right heatsink for it (otherwise, the graphics card will instantly overheat). The part you need is DP/N KTPRC.

You just saved me incredible inconvenience, Robin! Thanks so much for the speedy reply. Instead of buying a new heat sinc, I think I'll save money by exchanging the NVIDIA board for an Intel board. I've done lots of parts replacements but never a mobo. I don't expect a tutorial but if you have any suggestions or links please send them my way. Cant wait to come back here when my system is up again. What a great resource.

You're welcome! Here's the service manual, which will take you step-by-step through it:

    Documentation

I've done this kind of thing too many times to count, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. For the E6410, I've got two tips: make sure you remove the SD card blank (otherwise it will catch when you try to remove the motherboard), and remove the motherboard from the left side by pushing the VGA connector inwards (do this after you give it a tug on the upper right corner to disconnect the daughter board).

The E6410 is one of the easiest systems to disassemble, so I think you will be fine. :)

Thank you for your tips Robin. I'm going to the documentation now.

I have found an Intel E6410 ATG mother board. Apparently, ATG = All Terrain Grade. Is this board compatible with my "regular" E6410 w/ Intel graphics?
    Thank you :)

ATG is the semi-rugged model. I don't know if there are any differences in the motherboard, but to be safe, I would skip it.

I'll keep looking for a non-ATG E6410 mother board, per your advice. I think my "regular" E6410 laptop is darn rugged, even though it's not an ATG.
    Thank you :)

I'm a little late to the party, but the ATG model is just a different lid, the entire bottom case is the same except that the ATG has a removabale rubber piece that goes on the bottom.

The only other difference would be if it has a full PCMCIA card slot or a Express Card 54. Either way they will both work in the same chassis.
