It the county that I live in there are only three SSD drives on any store shelves, not three models but three drives.

    All of them are Kingston.

I am going to have to buy a regular drive off the shelf it seems to get my business laptop going again and order the Samsung's online.

Would ordering it from Amazon with overnight shipping not be sufficient?

My business can't wait. I make my living from my computer, I am not an IT person but 100% of my revenue comes from my computer.

I am back up and running now. I will get the drives online. That I am going to start doing is have two identical computers set up to avoid downtime.

I'm having a problems with on board microphone connector, when I connect microphone to my E6410, the microphone (in recording settings) is seen as default device and has connected status but it doesn't work (tried to record my own voice).
The problem doesn't happen when I connect my microphone to the ports on docking station.

I assume that on board connector is ok since the microphone changes its status in recording settings but I don't know why it doesn't work and how can I make it works, any advices?

I have tried to search this tread without finding a clear answer. I have a 3008WFP at the moment and I'm thinking about picking up a used E6410 with Intel graphics to drive it. Will the Intel graphics support the full resolution of 2560x1600? I ask since I felt quite burned when I realised that the E4200 didn't in fact supported it even if the iGPU according to Intel is capable of up to 2560x1600 using Displayport. I was obviously using a docking station (PR02x) since the E4200 only carry a vga-connector.

Ok, the problem was with the IDT (by default it is at: C:\Program Files\IDT\WDM\sttray64.exe) application which autostart I've disabled with msconfig, after undoing this change the microphone works now as it should.

Hi guys, I have discovered my E6410 i5-520m has a faulty motherboard and can only be fixed by replacing it only. I currently have a Intel based GPU motherboard.

I was instinctively going to get the NVIDIA based GPU motherboard because asking on the forum it is apparently a straight swap and I assumed it would naturally be better graphics card. But starting to look for actual motherboard to purchase I am coming across benchmark results and reviews and so forth, showing that it actually performs worse than the Intel 3000HD. Is this true?

Granted I understand I wont be playing battlefield 3 and crysis anytime soon on it, but still want to get the better performer as I do like to play games here and there. What do you guys recommend, should I stick with the Intel or "upgrade" to the Nvidia?

    thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry too much about benchmarks. Do you do any graphics intensive work or need CUDA? If not, stay with integrated graphics for better battery life.
