Ok I'm game. How do you get the Fingerprint reader to work. I've wasted half my weekend trying to figure it out.

Because you are installing the full package. Click on custom and remove Nvidia 3D Vision drivers and software (which you can't use as you need Nvidia 3D glasses and special monitors). This will make it faster to install.

    What's your OS?

P.S: I don't know, nor do I even recommend it (for any computer, until Windows supports it natively, as clearly not 1 manufacture bothers doing proper drivers for their own device), but at least it's a good place to start in getting people to help you.

Or group password. Passwords which has no personal info, where if it's hacked you don't really care, put it all the same password (but not a weak one). And one for e-mails in general, and the rest of the important stuff, in different passwords.

Now, I don't know what you have on your laptop, but unless you either:
-> Use Windows to encrypt your files (Pro and up edition), or have something else that encrypt your password linked to your account password, then putting a password on the computer is essentially useless. Why? Because I can pull out the HDD plug it on a different computer, and access all your files. Or easier, bring a bootable CD or USB key which contains Linux on it, and restart your computer to boot form it. Now I run Linux on your system, and can access all your files, copy everything, restart your computer without the disk or USB key, now it's under Windows, and you have no idea what happened.

-> If it's for account separation reasons (2 or more users), then a simple basic password is all you need.

I just want it to work. It's that button that does nothing but you know it does something and you want it to do something.

There's a touchpad driver update, adds a new user interface for controlling features and I think circular scrolling is new.

The new inertial scrolling isn't very good though. Compared to Apple's it doesn't feel very natural. Deceleration is way too slow and it goes a bit too far.

Fortunately I just use the pointing stick.
