For the E6410 owners out there, can you comment on which kind of drivers the touchpad uses (Synpatics, Alps, etc.)?

Also, from what I've read, the touchpad is gesture enabled. Does this include two finger scrolling? How is the overall feel of the touchpad?

I was wondering if anyone who has an E6410 could run this software (DPC Latency Checker) to check the latency, since one of the primary reasons I would be getting this is for audio recording. Hopefully Dell resolved the problems the E6400/6500 were having with latency.

The E6400 has a latency problem?
(system idle, wireless ON, CPU set to Balance)

I do get the occasion yellow bar at 1000us, if I do the same thing but stream over wireless internet radio using Winamp 5. Less if I use the wired network.
And obviously if you set the CPU to power saver all bars a a bit higher... please note that I have the slowest CPU model P8400.

Mine is still waiting for a flight ticket :) I called UPS and Dell yesterday, and they said, that I will get it next week. I didn't get an exact date, let's just hope for the best...
Actually, I don't understand why they are built in China (well of course I know that it's cheaper), but my old M1530 was made in Poland, and the factory in Poland is also meant for the European market. I have the Dell 11z too, which was also made in China, so who knows what they are really doing there...

I found an old news from 12/2009, which announced that Dell wants to sell the factory in poland, but it sounds like selling it to someone and buying the build capacity from this someone back...don`t know.

Mine is also still in Shanghai. It seems that UPS is a little bit unsorted. There`s a thread in the german notbookcheck forum, where people are waiting for their Dells. Some with 19.4. as date didn`t get it yet and some with 20. or 23. already have got it (and so on).

My 14" neopren sleeve will be delivered today, hooray! :/

Newspaper news (=rumors) from December 2009 are that Dell sells its factory in Poland (located in Łódź) to a Taiwanese company Foxconn. They claim Foxconn is going to do the assembly for Dell.

Poland is not longer as cheap as it was - and quality/distance/etc. is no longer an issue; the work goes to PRC. ... Let's pray for more ashes from Iceland, and for Chinese people starting to raise environment issues :-(. But NOT before we get our notebooks :).

it's a pretty good deal (300€ under the regular store price) and i think that i won't miss the extra punch of the M4500 as the 6410 is around 1kg lighter (including PSU); i have a workstation with a 24" IPS screen at home and access to proper 27" PVA screens at the university and the corresponding color profiles

i also got a good deal on a used 128gb samsung ssd for 200€ so i'm all set

the last thing that would make this order perfect would be an early delivery and antennas routed to the WWAN slot (dell rep doesn't know if these antennas are present) :D

Supposedly they do/did. This thread (http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-latitude-vostro-precision/341918-dell-latitude-dpc-latency-issues.html) is full of people complaining about it. The only mention I found of the latency on the E6410 was on the Serato forums (Serato ITCH does not work with Windows 7 64-Bit. Not happy about this. | Serato.com).
