The pics look good, and you can guess some meanings. But the others are just out of my mind.

Quick question about this model since I'm getting ready to order one. Does it actually have two speakers as it appears to based on the grills on either side of the keyboard, or does it only have one speaker like the D-series did? The sound on my D630 is less than impressive.

My D600 has stereo speakers, only later, I think D630 had mono... also the bigger brothers of the 14" series had stereo if I remember correctly.

Google translate makes this more intelligible for the English readers.

The E6400 has a baby speaker each side of the keyboard but the audio quality is not impressive. I haven't seen any feedback on whether the E6410 has improved on the E6400 in this respect (the above review has a fairly favourable comment).

    Battery Recommendations?

I would appreciate any advice on which 9 cell battery I should purchase for the e6410: 90 whr or 81 whr? The 81 whr comes with a 3 year warranty, but of course is more expensive than the 90 whr with the 1 year standard warranty. I also see that it is possible to purchase an extended 3 year warranty on the 90 whr, but this is a bit more costly than the 81 whr.

I normally stay away from extended warranty offers, but I have had so much trouble with my d630 9 cell batteries (both died completely after 15 months) that I would like to protect against this on my upcoming purchase.

    Thanks.

    Hello everyone,

on the German Dell page you can choose between 3 models to configure. Only the last and most expensive model is listed with backlit keyboard in the summary of the configuration. Is it just a mistake in the configurator or is it fact that only the most expensive model got the backlit keyboard?

To the owners: is the backlit keyboard a must have?

    thank you very much!

You have to call and do a phone-order (or just do one call and let them make you an offer which they`ll send you per mail, the rest of the order is also via mail, so it`s just one call).

Anyway, if you call there are much more options than on the website, ask for the backlit keyboard, it`s possible!

You get a good overview of what all is possible if you take a look at the reseller hfa-asknet, they have more options online. And you could take their price as an base for bargaining, too. :)
